The latest events taking place at the JCR will be posted onto this page prior to them taking place.
Freshers Week
White T-Shirt Night
Monday 2nd October
Probably the lamest name you could imagine, but don't be put off. The first thing your going to realise when meeting
new people at Uni is their is always the 3 questions.
1. Whats your Name, although some people choose to by-pass this.
2. Where are you From, although this persons gonna forget it before this
conversation ends.
3. What course are you doing,
Believe me, you will repeat this information probably about 7 to 8 thousands times before the week ends. But
on Monday night all this irratation will be erased as people will only have to glance at your T-shirt to know. Still
sounds a bit dull...well then you can write what the hell you want on your T-shirt. Your Number, other peoples number,
messages... what ever really. It should be funny when people are a bit intoxicated.
Remember
Wear your white T-shirts down to the JCR and use pens provided.

Beach Party
Tuesday 3rd October
The Beach Party should give you a chance to let loose a bit (or a lot), with a beach dress code (open to interpretation).
But if you wana wear speedos, then you go ahead and do it, and I will proudly shake your hand as you enter. There
will be a general selection of beach...er...stuff, with a surf board simulator to top it off. Should be a laugh, with
late licence remember to pace yourself. You don't want to be the person being dragged back to your flat at 11, make
sure you make it to 11:30.
Freshers Fayre
Wednesday 4th - Friday 6th October
An oportunity to sign up to various sports clubs (Wed) and societies (Thurs), but don't be put off if your not interested
in signing up to anything. The amount of freebies available is massive, from posters to sweets. Just take a look.

will be readily available. Transport has been aranged to bus you all into town, buses are not avilable back so that
you can stay until the morning if you want.
Things to Remember:
# Where you Live, BULMERSHE, try splitting it up if its difficult Bul-mer-she.
# What Flat you live in
# That making a fort out of the kitchen Table and Chairs is a little odd
Casino Night
Thursday 5th October
"Do you expect me to talk." "No Mr Bond, expect you to gamble your Student Loan." Lol, no only joking (seriously
don't). The JCR for one night only will be transformed into a Bond style casino, with various casino tables, horse racing
& Bond Girls obviously. This is an oportunity to rectify an previous drunken behaviour, with some smooth gambling.
However the bar will be open, with a late licence obviously.

Live Music
Friday 6th October
Th last day of Freshers week should be a cracker, with several bands playing live at the JCR. The night should
be one to remember, so drink and be merry because I promise I will be doing the same.
Zane Lowe
Friday 6th October
Zane Lowe performs at the Student Union Whitenights Campus. Tickets are limited and expensive, so I suggest the
free live music at the JCR. With late licence and only a 4 minute crawl from the halls, its a lot eaiser
(and probably better).
